My Travel-Glow Secrets

If there’s one thing about me… I’m going to stay moisturized at 30,000 feet.

After flying to over 30 countries, jet lag, dry cabin air, and recycled oxygen have tried me — but my skin will not lose the battle. Over the years, I’ve created a travel beauty routine that keeps me fresh, hydrated, and glowing from the moment I board to the moment I step off the plane looking like I had a full night’s sleep (even if I didn’t).

So today, I’m sharing my holy-grail travel beauty products plus the in-flight skincare rituals that have truly changed the game.

Let’s get into the glow ✈️✨

💄 My Ride-or-Die Travel Beauty Essentials

These are the products that permanently live in my carry-on — no exceptions.

Youth To The People Superfood Facial Cleanser The perfect gentle cleanser to reset before or after a long flight.

Youth To The People Superberry Dream Mask A deep-hydration mask that saves my skin after hours in airplane air.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Serum My brightening hero — instantly perks up tired, dull skin.

Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream Lightweight, silky, and layers beautifully.

Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40 For that “I just landed and I’m glowing” look.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50 My go-to for stronger sun destinations.

Milk Makeup Sculpt Stick A little contour wakes up your whole face after a flight.

Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set My cheat code to waking up with soft, pretty waves — no heat required.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask A non-negotiable. Planes = instant dry lips.

Vaseline Lip Balm For layering and sealing in moisture.

e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil Gives you juicy lips right before landing.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Under Eye Patches If you’ve ever seen me glowing going through customs… this is why.

Evian Hydrating Facial Mist My mid-flight refresh moment.

CeraVe Makeup Remover Wipes For resetting your face before your skincare routine.

Catrice Under Eye Brightener Instantly brightens your under-eye area — magic in a tube

Bumble & Bumble Sea Salt Spray A little texture goes a long way on vacation hair.

Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Freshens hair so you step off the plane looking alive.

Redken One United Leave-In Conditioner Softens, detangles, protects — the trifecta.

SOL DE JANEIRO Hair & Body Perfume Mist Vacation in a bottle. I always get compliments.

L’OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream A hand saver — flying will dry you out instantly.

Eyelash Curler The quickest “I’m awake” trick. Makes such a difference.

🥤 My In-Flight Skincare Ritual (a.k.a. How I Keep My Glow Alive)

This is where the magic happens.

1. Start Fresh Before takeoff, I use CeraVe wipes to cleanse and prep my skin.

2. Go Into Hydration Mode Once seated, I apply:

  • Vitamin C serum

  • Moisturizer

  • Lip sleeping mask

  • Under-eye patches (especially on long flights)

3. The Most Important Step — WATER. LOTS OF IT. I don’t play with this part. I always ask the flight attendant for a cup of water and a bottle to keep at my seat. Hydration is what makes the biggest difference in how your skin looks when you land.

4. Mid-Flight Refresh A mist, more lip balm, and a quick stretch. Your skin will thank you.

5. The Landing Glow-Up Right before descent, I do my mini “airport glam” routine:

  • Curl lashes

  • Brighten under eyes

  • Lip oil

  • A little contour

  • Hair refresh (dry shampoo or sea salt spray)

  • Body spray to smell amazing

And then I walk off that plane looking very booked and unbothered.

🌟 Final Thoughts

Travel can be chaotic — but your skin doesn’t have to suffer.

With the right products and a simple routine, you can land glowing, hydrated, and ready to explore your destination (or take cute airport photos, let’s be honest).
